Posture correction workshop for shoulder dysfunctions. Is your shoulder and neck pain bothering you? Do you try to remember to stand up straight, but find it hard to maintain? Does no amount of heart opening and shoulder opening poses help with bringing your upper spine upright? Well then, you are not alone. Rounded shoulders are the most common posture problem and the cause of lots of back and neck pain. Posture correction is not easy, and you can´t always “just stand up straight” but there are things you can do to strengthen and open the upper back. In this workshop we will go through fundamental knowledge of how our shoulders, back and neck muscles affects our posture, and most importantly – what kind of exercises we can do every day to train and correct our posture. We will combine specialised, repetition-based strength exercises and static mobility exercises to help free up our thoracic spine and stabilise our shoulder, neck and shoulder blades in order to create a long-lasting impact in our posture. We will also learn to establish a routine that can make this practice manageable and doable.
