Breathing Life into Asana

In yoga philosophy, the life force, or Prana, resides in the breath. Often in yoga practice, other than being told to focus on the breath, we are not really guided in how to use the breath wisely in each pose or asana. Asana practice gives us a control and mastery of the body, but we then need mastery of the breath to breathe life into the body. We can use the body to gain mastery of the breath, and we can also use the breath to gain mastery of the body. In this two hour workshop we will explore effective ways of accessing our breath in our poses to increase the potency of our practice.
