Welcome to Asgaard Yoga Retreats!

Asgaard Yoga Retreats are for those who wish to discover the first steps in Esoteric Integral Yoga in a relaxed and regenerating environment – combining fascinating lectures, yoga practice, inner reflection and holistic well-being.

The retreats are designed both for beginners as well as for those who have been practicing some forms of yoga and wish to discover a deeper approach to yoga as a tool for inner transformation and increased quality of life.

The retreats are kept in a charming countryside setting, in a cozy atmosphere of togetherness, in small groups of 5-10 participants.

 

PRACTICE SESSIONS

During the retreat we will focus on the following simple yogic methods which have both instant effects  – immediately noticeable in the retreat –  and long-term effects for those who wish to apply them on a daily basis afterwards.

Hatha Yoga

Asanas are traditional yogic postures, which in the West are mostly known and popular for their physical benefits of stretching and relaxation.

While indeed having a great value in this respect, when practiced properly (as in ancient classic yoga) asanas help us develop mental, emotional, psychological, and spiritual qualities.

At the retreat we will practice Esoteric Integral Yoga, where we stay in each asana for a prolonged period of time with a specific inner focus and attitude.

Each technique is followed by an awareness phase of synthesizing the effects in a continuous state of guided interiorized attention.

In this way, all aspects of each asana (posture) – including those at the mental and emotional levels – will be realized by each of us, through our direct experience & awareness in the practice.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is one of the most popular yogic methods for deep conscious relaxation. It helps us relax much more than we normally can & dive into the core of our being – beyond the noise of the mind, daily concerns and worries.

It is a well-known method to decrease stress, and used by many modern institutions for its therapeutic value. Several clinical studies have shown that yoga nidra can significantly lower cortisol levels – the hormone closely associated with stress.

In yoga nidra we can find “peace of heaven” – a beautiful silence deep within that opens our being towards deeper & higher dimensions.

All participants will receive a guided Yoga Nidra recording, which can be used to practice this method & deepen the relaxation at home after the retreat.

Heart-Coherence Breath

One of the most valuable keys that yoga reveals is the intimate connection between breath, body and psyche – and that by mastering one ‘corner’ of this triangle, the other two can also be controlled.

Control of the breath is the easiest to master, and with certain simple methods we can easily enter into states of inner peace & centering anytime we choose.

The Heart Coherence Breath is a very simple and efficient form of breathing which helps us establish a state of inner coherence. It was developed through extensive research & studies by the HeartMath Institute, and popularized by modern-day visionaries such as Dr. Joe Dispenza.

During the retreat we will practice short sessions of Heart Coherence Breathing several times a day, to help us enter and establish ourselves as much as possible in a state of inner peace & centering.

 

HOLISTIC WELLNESS & DETOX

As yoga is a holistic science, the retreats are kept at a charming holistic venue providing plenty of opportunities to be in touch with nature and find a sense of inner harmony. During the retreat we will also have time to enjoy to relax and regenerate using natural methods

Massage

All participants can optionally book a 30-60min massage (for an additional fee) to remove stress out of the body, relax and enjoy.

In case you are new to yoga, and discover some stiffness in the body during the yoga sessions, the massage can also help you to soften up your body more.

Trips in nature

During the retreat we will go together on a walk along breathtaking and stunning Stevns Klint, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful nature sites in Denmark.

Hot tubs

The retreat includes a trip to the nearby Paradise Retreat Center to take some time to relax & regenerate with a hot tub session in the garden, allowing the hot water to loosen up our muscles and calm our minds.

Healthy nourishment

We will enjoy wonderful vegan food, made with love by Asgaard’s own chef. The food enchants both our taste buds and overall well-being. Lots of wonderful seasonal veggies play a central role in the daily menu.

The menu will be vegan, gluten free and we opt out on alcohol and coffee, starting instead the day with lemon water to purify and tone the organism.

 

THEORETICAL PRESENTATIONS

During the retreat we will have daily sessions dedicated to discover the fundamentals of Esoteric Integral Yoga and its profoundly transformative view upon our human existence. We will apply these notions in the practice sessions and use them to deepen the efficiency of the practice.

The Occult Law of Resonance

The foundation of Esoteric Integral Yoga is the Law of Resonance, which is widely studied in the scientific world and applied in physics and music, concerning physical phenomena. It is what allows transfer of radio waves from a broadcasting station to a receiving antenna through a specific tuning of their frequency of vibration.

Esoteric Integral Yoga practically applies this law in all aspects of life and all its methods, considering that everything in the universe is made of vibration – a fact that science is nowadays rediscovering, led by quantum physicists – and therefore is subjected to this law.

This includes both physical matter, sensorial experiences as well as behavioral patterns, emotions, mental patterns and attitudes. Knowing this law allows us to fundamentally gain ownership of our own life.

Energetic Anatomy & Biopsychology

According to yoga, our personality and life experiences are the result of occult resonance processes involving a subtle energetic anatomy consisting of refined layers of vibrating energy.

These contain the blueprint of our being, and in them we find 7 so-called force centers or chakras, which govern our emotional, mental and physical functions and wellbeing.

In the retreats we aim to give a brief introduction to this vast subject of study and practice, and practically apply these findings in the yoga practice. In doing so, we will discover a whole new depth of yoga.

The Spiritual Heart

Being in touch with our spiritual heart lets us feel balanced and centered, and gives us access to a vast range of beneficial inner states, such as joy, appreciation, love, gratefulness and compassion.

Much of our daily life experiences brings us away from this inner sanctuary and ‘up in the head’, resulting in stress, decreased immunity and alienation from ourselves and others.

In this retreat we will discover the biopsychology of our spiritual heart and how to ‘come back home’ to yourself on a daily basis.
